Join us this Wednesday, April 6th as RENDEZVOUS returns for its next monthly session at Verdugo Bar. For those of you in the know, last month Shawn Lee and I were surprise guests AM at RENDEZVOUS! and in their words, “bestowed upon  us killer selection of OST’s, library, Bollywood, and unreleased original tracks.”I’m returning this Wednesday for this next session. What you’ll hear: 60′s & 70′s soundtracks, library, psychedelia, funk, soul, and groovy sounds from Italian & French lost archives. And if that were not enough, two classic giallo & poliziotteschi films will be screened.

Fairport Convention- What We Did On Our Holidays

Hello. Hola. Konichiwa. We’re AM and Shawn Lee and we’re currently completing the recording of our new album collaboration which is yet untitled. We have decided to work alongside Pledge Music to offer you exclusive, limited edition experiences and party favors which will give you first listen to our new EP and access to stuff you can’t get anywhere else —while simultaneously helping us to get out on the road. This is important to us because we feel music is best experienced in it’s purest form – LIVE. It is the most direct connection between artist and listener…plus this stuff is groovy and we want you guys to join the party with us : ) The catch to touring is that it’s pretty costly to make it all happen (fly Shawn Lee out from London, rent rehearsal space to get ready for the tour, all the tour prep, etc.. )

So we’re offering all kinds of stuff. From the shirt off AM’s back to Shawn Lee’s signed drumsticks, a limited edition vinyl single from our first single “Dark Into Light” and cassette copies of the new AM & Shawn Lee EP. But we’re also offering weirder and more wonderful options to only a special few of AM and Shawn Lee aficionados. Don’t see something you’d like here? We’re starting a ‘Pledgers Only Updates’ page where we’ll share videos, gigs, conversations, demos, rough mixes, words and photos. Everyone who pledges will get free mp3s (You may see this referred to on the site as ‘project download’) AND we are donating a percentage of the profits from the project to Japanese Tsunami victims—maybe just one specific musician in Japan who has been displaced if we can find that one person to help. (As you know communication has been really rough in the effected areas.) It’s a great cause and we’re happy that you’ll be able to help us help a fellow musician in Japan.
